Footwear:
- Well-worn, waterproof walking boots with proper ankle support
- Trekking or travel-friendly trainer/casual shoes
- Insulated socks for colder regions
- Gaiters for rain or snow
- Ice cleats/shoe gripper for icy or snowy trails
Leg Wear:
- Casual trekking trousers
- Thermal leggings for colder climates
- Long skirt (for women as an alternative)
- Waterproof trousers
Body:
- Assortment of T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts (preferably non-cotton)
- Thermal shirt for colder regions
- Warm shirt, perhaps fleece, for colder areas
- Fleece jacket or wool jumper
- Windproof, waterproof outer shell for higher altitudes
- Down jacket (optional for chilly nights, available for rent in Kathmandu)
